I had the satay beef pho, and it was revitalizing since I had been traveling and was tired. The spice level was just right and the beef was tender and fragrant.
We also got the egg rolls and veggie rolls and they were crispy and delicious!
The owner was friendly and accommodating. He checked up on us often. -

Originally drove to this part of the city to go to Bills Peking house and it was so busy it was lined up down the stairs if anyone has ever been there before . You know what I mean ...
I wanted Wonton soup so badly though so we walked here which is just two stores down and they serve Wonton soup so I got it and it was amazing.
As well I got number 14 which is the obvious and delicious spring rolls :) -

This is only the third time I've had Vietnamese while I've been in Cowtown so I wasn't sure what to expect. We came on a Saturday evening around 7:00pm and they were fairly busy. Looked like it was family run and the son checked up on us several times.
- Shredded pork (#16) and prawn salad rolls (#17) ($4.50 each half order) - these were pretty typical and didn't leave an impression on either of us. The peanut sauce had a bit of hot sauce added to it; never seen this before but I like it!
- Rare beef and brisket noodle soup (#23) ($10.25) - this was O's bowl, I don't remember trying it but she wolfed it down.
- Satay beef noodle soup (#29) ($11.25) - this satay was LEGIT. It's been awhile since I've been impressed with pho but Sunshine's bowl had depth, deep, rich flavour and spicy. Even the beef was top quality; their meat was succulent, tender and memorable.
I'd happily come back to Sunshine Vietnamese to try some of their other soup offerings but you seriously cannot go wrong with the satay. Freakin' bomb. -

This is my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. My family and I have been going to sunshine regularly for around five years now, and they 100% have the best satay pho in town. ORDER #29, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!
